RetailABC

Commercial debt recovery for UK businesses

RetailABC recovers unpaid commercial debt owed by one business to another, using the remedies available under UK commercial debt law and our own debt management software to run each case. We provide commercial debt recovery and claims-management services. We are not a firm of solicitors or enforcement agents, and we do not deal with consumer debt or personal debt advice.

Problems this solves

  • Invoices well past their payment terms with no explanation
  • Agreed payment terms that are ignored every month
  • Accounts the debtor calls disputed to delay payment
  • A debtor still trading normally while your invoice sits unpaid
  • Lots of smaller unpaid balances nobody has time to chase
  • In-house chasing that has stopped getting a response

How it works

  1. 01You submit the debt: amount, dates, and what the debtor has said
  2. 02We verify the paperwork — contract, invoices, delivery and correspondence
  3. 03A formal demand is issued under the relevant UK commercial debt rules
  4. 04Structured negotiation, including a payment plan where that recovers more
  5. 05Where escalation is needed, regulated professionals are instructed on your behalf
  6. 06You get recovery reporting and a full record of the case

Pricing and timescales

How it is priced

No win, no fee: our fee is a commission on money actually recovered, agreed in writing before work starts. If nothing is recovered, you pay us no recovery fee. The commission rate depends on the size and age of the debt, so we confirm it after reviewing the case. Any third-party legal or court costs needed to escalate are explained and agreed with you before they are incurred.

Timescales

Driven by the age of the debt, the quality of the paperwork and how the debtor responds. We will not promise a recovery date.

Questions buyers actually ask

Are you solicitors or enforcement agents?
No. We provide commercial debt recovery and claims-management services. Where a case needs legal action or enforcement, regulated professionals are instructed on your behalf.
How much does it cost?
Recovery is on a no-win, no-fee basis — commission on what is recovered, confirmed in writing after we review the debt.
Which debts are eligible?
Unpaid invoices owed by a UK business to your business, for goods or services supplied, where you hold the paperwork. We do not take consumer debts.
Do you handle consumer or personal debt?
No. We only deal with debt owed by one business to another, and we do not give personal debt advice.
What do you need from us to start?
The invoices, the contract or terms, proof of supply or delivery, and any correspondence with the debtor.
What if the debtor disputes the invoice?
Disputes are common and often used to delay. We check what the paperwork actually supports before deciding how the case is pursued.
Can we claim interest and costs?
UK commercial debt rules allow interest and compensation in many cases. Our software calculates what applies to yours.
How do we see what is happening?
Every action, deadline and reply is recorded in our debt management software, so the case status is available at any point.
